While the original guidelines were only aimed at textile production, this new addendum expands the scope to include the leather industry. The approach is the same for both textile and leather, but the requirements differ.Leather manufacturers who have an account in the ZDHC GateWay can access their wastewater analyses to the brands in their supply chain. The brands can then use these data to assess their performance in sustainability.Part of the wastewater analyses is on the presence of substances on the ZDHC MRSL.
