The final aim is to have leather chemicals that are completely based on renewable origins. Aguastop W200

Waterbased Waterproof Leather Finishing

The new generation in leather finishing water repellent products is Aguastop W200. Aguastop W200 is a water-based product that gives water repellent protection to all kind of leather items. This innovation is in line with the sustainability policy of Royal Smit & Zoon – we have undertaken the commitment to eliminate all ingredients belonging to the chemical family of PFC (perfluorocarbons) from our products portfolio within 2020.

After intensive research we have been able to succeed in producing a water-based product that gives water repellent protection to all kind of leather items. A truly innovative product.

Liquid leather dyes - ecometal
Ecometal Liquid Dyes

Metal Free Liquid Dyes

Ecometal is a new innovative range of liquid dyes for water based finishing application. They have been engineered to be more sustainable through the use of special acid dyes that do not contain any complexing metals in their molecules and therefore they can be considered as metal-free and they are fitting with the most stringent eco-toxicological characteristics currently required.

Ecometal dyes are extremely versatile and they ca be used by spray, curtain coater, roller coater and they are particularly suggested for immersion dyeing system.

Basetone White Ti-Free

Casein‐free and titanium‐free white pigment

Our innovative white pigment for the market of leather finishing is called BASETONE WHITE TI-FREE. This white pigment is formulated with insoluble inorganic and non-harmful substance and 100% free of TiO2.

The technology of BASETONE WHITE TI-FREE allows to reach very high covering power and excellent physical fastness properties without losing refraction-index with a consequent great white intensity. Due to its special formulation, this pigment perfectly fit when used on metal free white leather following ISO specification 15115: 2019.
