As Customer Service Assistant, I get to enjoy a beautiful view of the Vecht from my desk every day. Our office represents an international mix of all ages and personalities, which makes for entertaining collaborations. Our weak spot is not bringing snacks! What do you do in a day? My main responsibilities include preparing documents for orders, including customs declarations documents. Next to the support I give Order Fulfillment Officer, I also have been learning from Customer Managers to setup new accounts, upgrade trade agree and so on. I look forward to learning more about our products holistically and expanding my knowledge. Victoria Gutierrez Customer Service Assistant What is your favorite leather item, and why? My favorite leather item are a pair of loafers my mom gifted me, from a Brazilian brand “Luz da Lua.” I actually wore them for my interview at Smit! What is your favorite project you have worked on so far? Or, if you have just joined the company: what drew you to working at Royal Smit & Zoon? I was drawn to Smit & Zoon for its commitment to sustainability and ethical practices. In order fulfillment, I appreciate how the company integrates responsible sourcing and transparency throughout the supply chain. What sustainable actions are you taking, at work or in your personal life? I bring my reusable coffee cup to work and have proposed introducing a printing credit system to help reduce waste and raise awareness about unnecessary printing. Back to globe stories
