Every colleague will answer the same questions. 5 questions for… Evandro Kich Tell us about your work environment. What does it look like? I am based in Brazil and responsible for all countries in the Americas. I usually combine internal tasks while working from home with in-person collaboration at the lab. Visiting customers is also a key part of my role. Being on-site as much as possible helps me strengthen relationships, represent our company, and ensure that opportunities are identified and translated into business. What do you do in a day? Biggest challenge of my workday is time management, as I have to deal with so many different topics and countries in my region. Embracing a large spectrum of subjects deserves a lot of resilience and adaptability. Dedicate time to support my team is also crucial for overcome the daily challenges, on a working atmosphere based on trust and commitment. Evandro Kich Business Director What is your favorite leather item, and why? My favorite leather item is BBQ apron. Grilling a steak, wearing a leather apron, enjoying wonderful moments “around the fire” together with family and friends. Perfect combination! What is your favorite project you have worked on so far? Or, if you have just joined the company: what drew you to working at Royal Smit & Zoon? I joined the company in April 2025, motivated by the reputation of Royal Smit & Zoon in the market and the quality of the product range. I believe our company has the right size for the global leather market and has an amazing sustainability platform that differentiate us from competitors. What sustainable actions are you taking, at work or in your personal life? When traveling by car I use to use Ethanol, reducing emissions by using renewable energy. At home we use to manage / recycle the waste and using less plastic wherever we can. At the garden I use timers for optimizing the illumination and reduce consumption.
