Within Royal Smit & Zoon I’m part of the automotive team in the role of a Business Director. I’m considering myself very fortunate having the opportunity to work with highly passioned experts within our organization. Our clients are in the center of our activities and as a team we’re focusing on supporting our clients in meeting their current and future challenges making automotive leathers. When not travelling I’m working from home in the greater Stuttgart area, Germany. Royal Smit & Zoon is driven by a purpose. To make the leather value chain environmentally & socially sustainable. What is your purpose? What gives you energy in your job? Promoting the most suitable & sustainable solutions allowing our clients to meet their individual needs is the purpose of our automotive team. That is what we’re aiming for and by doing so to contribute to making the leather value chain more environmentally & socially sustainable. Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders daily and harvesting the fruits of the joint efforts together is what I enjoy the most and what gives me energy in my professional life. Most of us may not always realize how many objects made from leather one comes across every day. It’s such a versatile and unique material surrounding many of us everyday thanks to its longevity amongst many other properties. Out many lovely leather items I’m often wearing or using I choose a travel bag. For me, this type of leather is getting more beautiful the more I use it.
