We are proud to announce that Royal Smit & Zoon has received an EcoVadis GOLD medal. With this recognition, Royal Smit & Zoon belongs to the top 7% of all companies rated by EcoVadis and is a confirmation of belonging to the absolute top in sustainability-related activities.

In comparison to previous years, Royal Smit & Zoon has demonstrated the biggest progress in the fields of labour & Human rights and Sustainable Procurement. The EcoVadis GOLD Award is a confirmation of the validity of our strategy.

About EcoVadis

The EcoVadis rating methodology reflects the quality of a company’s CSR management system – through its policies, actions, and results. EcoVadis assessments focus on 21 issues which are grouped into 4 dimensions: Environment, Labour Practices & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

The 21 issues or criteria are based upon international sustainability standards such as the Global Compact Principles, the International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard, the ISO 26000 standard, and the CERES principles.
